James Bear started his career in the Fire Service with a volunteer department from New York, Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department. He rose up through the ranks from a Firefighter from Company 2, Company 2 Lieutenant, Company 2 Captain and Deputy Chief and Retired to an Ex-Chief. He also has the title of EMT-B. From 2015 to 2021, J. Bear jumped around from Fire Department to Fire Department, still holding the title of Lieutenant, Captain and Assistant Chief/Deputy Chief. In early 2021 Bear joined the United States Marines after 5 months of being in he switched to the Army. Bear decided to retire from the Army in early June. Bear moved to Colorado, joined the Oak County Public Safety and was promoted to Director of public safety. At the end of July, moved to New York and joined the Ridgeview County Fire Department. James Bear now sits at the rank of Assistant Fire Chief just under Fire Chief Noel Goodell.
